Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently highlight the modern, clean, and comfortable rooms at The New Hobbit Hotel, often noting the provision of complimentary porridge and pain au chocolat as a delightful touch. The bathrooms are often described as amazing, and rooms are well-equipped with amenities like fans and heaters, catering to various weather preferences; certain rooms even offer access to terraces with lovely views of the Ryburn Valley. While most find the access convenient with the key safe system, some guests have observed that certain doors can be quite heavy. Overall, the hotel is praised for its well-presented building and great value for money, especially when attending events at nearby locations such as the Fleece Inn.

Excellent stay

made-up cot pleasant touch breakfast porridge comfortable bed
The room provided a made-up cot. This helped a lot upon arrival with a tired child. Heating was already on, a pleasant touch. Porridge and pastries were available in the room for breakfast. The shower delivered a great flow, and the beds offered substantial comfort.
The trip was affected by noisy guests. They were inconsiderate throughout the night.
Rooms
9/10
The room felt modern with a clean appearance. It featured comfortable beds covered in nice linen. Fans were provided in the room. This was useful during the warmer days.
Location
9/10
The location offers striking valley views. I found taxi service into town accessible. The journey into town cost £6 via Uber.
Dining
10/10
Breakfast options included provided porridge and pastries. Complimentary water and snacks were available. These small additions.
